The physics are fun and semi-realistic, the levels are great and the music and sound effects are great.. Very unique puzzle platformer. Your character is not particularly agile, controls are sluggish almost... but this is actually on purpose and fits with the hilariously whimsical character design. Much of the game is about developing a feel for those strange controls. Also has an "undo"/time rewind mechanic similar to Braid, which is very fun to use and eliminates the frustration from your (many) failures. Some jump sequences appear extremely difficult but are made possible by this rewind mechanic - just retry every jump as often as needed, correcting by a pixel or millisecond every time... it feels quite fluent. Don't be fooled though, even with this I found the difficulty quite punishing; aside from the controls and the tricky jumps, many puzzles aren't exactly trivial to figure out either. The funniness of it all made it worthwhile to me though. Also, the graphics and animations are very pretty, and the sound design is excellent.. Simple and fun. Some pretty funny moments. 10/10 would recommend though not for the full price. Don't be fooled by the amusing trailer. It seems like the game was built as a gimmick around bad controls. Probably the worst controls I've seen in years, including a half-baked, useless time-rewind, and on top of a very wonky inertia. Each platforming step therefore requires quite a lot of luck, making any progress very slow and tedious.Checkpoints are too far away to be of great help, and the ease with which one can get stuck in an impossible spot means a lot, a lot of redoing long, annoying passages.It looks good and sounds terrific, but Sumoman will entertain only the luckiest or most patient of players.. Stuck because the game doesn't explain the game mechanics.. cool game, bought this bcs steam gave me sum coupon so i payed one euro. fun game. This game is hilarious!. I have tried to like this game. I was drawn to it as the idea seemed to have some charm but the controls are pretty bad and the running sequence in chapter 3 is buggy.
